Super buena experiencia!!
Compramos una bolsita de cacahuates enchilados... Deliciosos. El propietario se esforzó por hablarnos en español y nos explico acerca de sus productos y tabien nos invitó una taza de te, muy rico. A mis hijos les dió paleta. Muy agradable y servicial. Todo muy limpio, todo excelente!!

Though forced out of their original 1949 location a few years back....this place has the same great tasting peanuts and nuts! That old Mr. Peanut (peanut roaster) is still used daily in the place. Very neat and clean little place - with all sorts memorabilia around.
But I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and visiting with the owner and his daughter.
These folks were absolutely great to visit with today. They've owned the shop the last 30+ years - but from their pleasant and inviting demeanor - you'd think this was their second day of owning the place - as they had so much joy in sharing information and speaking about their place. These folks really make a nest place to visit.
The peanuts....of yes, they're a darn great peanut! You'll love 'em!!

The Peanut Shoppe is a Memphis institution!! I have known the owner, Rida, for almost 20 years. I used to walk by his old location after a workout at a local gym and smell him roasting nuts. I walked in one day and we struck up an immediate friendship. We moved from Memphis 16 years ago but every time I go back he warmly greets me. He recently moved to a new location on South Main just a block from the Peabody Hotel. This is the finest nut shop in the country. He roasts daily all kinds of nuts and has lots of different types of candies. Everything he has is amazing! He also lots of memorabilia that takes you back to a bygone era. Treat yourself and come get some amazing nuts and candies and walk away with a smile from his warm personality.

Came across this shop on Thanksgiving Day when all other shops were closed. Had the most wonderful time talking to the owner, Rida for close to 30 minutes. He served us warm tea and shared wonderful stories about his life and the shop he proudly owns. We bought some roasted nuts, pumpkin seeds, and chocolate-covered almonds. All of them great! We left the shop with some very tasty snacks and felt like we gained a new friend in Memphis. Thanks Rida for your superb customer service!

We visited the Peanut Shoppe during our Memphis trip a couple of weeks ago and was immediately greeted by Rida! What an amazing historical shop! Rida took us in and shared with us the history of the Peanut Shop and provided us samples of some of the best nuts we’ve ever tasted! He was so welcoming and friendly and was truly glad we stopped in!! He even gave Shannon a peanut roasting lesson! Can’t say enough great things about our visit there! So glad we stopped in!
