I went to Dr. Canton‘s office for many years probably about 20 however in the last four years, the quality of the service and 100% his staff are disrespectful rude and say they are going to do stuff and they don’t even do it. I moved and requested my medical transcripts. Actually, my new doctor requested them, his receptionist told me that she already sent them. She never did and she was rude to my doctor. Dr Canton did have a really good practice about nine years ago but now it seems like he doesn’t really care about the patients. He’s all about the money that’s my opinion , he is even put a letter on the wall, so the patients could see if they’re rude to his staff they will be asked to leave and he will not provide service for his patients anymore.

I have been coming to dr. Canton for over 10 yrs now. I'm always in and out of the office. It is very rare that I am there past 30 min. I have never had an issue with any of his office staff especially Deana, she has always been very kind to me.

Appointment at 10? Don't expect to be seen till 11 . People have lives...we have to be able to depend that if we pay for a service we see you anonymous respect our time just like we respect yours by coming in on time

My review is solely based on the office staff. Dr. Canton is a wonderful doctor, if you are able to get in to see him. My husband had an appointment today. Deana the office manager called because when she ran the insurance in their system it was showing our insurance was in a grace period. She flat out said I have to cancel your appointment. My husband said could you please let me call the insurance company to verify. She was insistent that their system shows that we are in a grace period and she had to cancel. He offered to pay out of pocket. She said no because you have insurance. Well in their system we do not, so what's the difference who pays?!
Dr. Canton, Deana is condescending and extremely rude to your patients. She is not putting your patients wellbeing in mind. We will not be returning after being so treated so badly.
Update 11/7/23:
This may be a long rant but please read till the end. It will reveal how absolutely awful Doctor Canton’s staff is. Ironically enough a call was received today to see if my husband wants to schedule his yearly physical. He asked if the insurance issues were cleared up in their system yet. They still insisted we have the insurance company fax them proof that we are not in a grace period.
I called and spoke with Sam today because I have to visit the doctor as well. She said my insurance was fine but his was expired. Our insurance changed 4/1/23 we have the same policy. I saw doctor Canton in May no problem. My husband is the primary insurance holder, not sure why his file was not updated as well. A good office manager would have thought to do so. When Sam decided to cancel his appointment last month he did give the new policy number. Not sure why the old policy is still reflected in their system.
Now here is the kicker. When trying to make my appointment today, Sam mentioned my earlier review. She said well you wrote a bad review for us saying you are finding a new doctor and basically refused to schedule me. That is blatant retaliation!! To see MY DOCTOR. I’m not supposed to have an opinion if I am ill treated by his staff? Why even call and try to schedule my husband for his yearly physical if you’re going to deny making an appointment? It’s absolutely baffling. I have no issues with Dr. Canton, he is an awesome doctor. We were going to forgive last month’s ill treatment by his staff and stay. However, to be refused to be scheduled for medical treatment because a review is absolutely ludicrous. The only reason we are having to find a new doctor in the first place is because of his rude, condescending and argumentative staff.

I went to Dr. Canton for about 5 years. He was a great listener and addressed all my medical needs with a thoughtful and professional manner. Unfortunately I had to move and have yet to find a doctor with the same in depth care he brought to every visit. The staff was friendly and met you with a smile in person or on the phone. You may wait a few extra minutes now and then but it's well worth the experience of having Dr. Canton as your Primary Care Physician.

Dr. Canton's office staff is extremely rude and will speak to you like you like you are stupid and I have been hung up on 3 times for calling back wanting an answer to a simple question.
The wait time is crazy because the time spent with the doctor is normally 10 min or less.
Reading other reviews I wasn't surprised to see that 2 appointments were required for something that could be taken care of in one appointment or a phone call. I was even told that if I didn't do it their way the doctor would not renew my scripts, I was blown away with that threat and decided it was time to change doctors.
Proves you're just a number in most cases, it's all about the money.

I love Dr. Canton and his staff! They are very efficient and professional and I highly recommend him. Dr. Canton never just rushes you through always giving a physical exam (which hardly ever happens w other doctors I've had before), he listens to your concerns and asks questions making sure I feel like he really cares and knows how to diagnose me. I will not ever leave as a patient there I couldn't be happier w their services. I think some people just might not have gotten what they wanted or needed and have bad comments to say because the doctor and staff are very good at their jobs and know what they are doing.

New patient appointment today. Dr. Canton and his entire team were excellent. Very thorough, very friendly. Explained processes clearly. I've been searching for a new primary for quite some time and very happy to have found him and the LONG TERM staff he has.
