Dorcea pays homage to the 1990s movie and book, American Psycho, and the in-story restaurant Dorsia. Like the source material, the restaurant lives up to its name. The food is phenomenal and atmosphere comfortable and welcoming. I had the Korean salmon while my guests had the famous meatloaf. All portions were large and we had plenty to share.

There's also Easter eggs specific to the American Psycho movie starring Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman, so look forward to seeing some things that remind you of the film.

And try the featured cocktails, they're fantastic.

Best shrimp and grits I've had in Wilmington. Cobb salad was huge and tasty. Excellent service. Casual atmosphere. Definitely going back.

So good! Food, ambience, music, views are great. Super cute spot with the magenta flowers in bloom. Good beer & nice selection. I ordered the Korean Salmon & my fiance got the Shrimp & Grits. Food was flavorful & portion size was nice. Cute little hole in the wall.

This place is really cute. Our waiter was nice and accommodating. We all enjoyed our food. I especially liked the firecracker shrimp appetizer. Jambalaya was very flavorful as well. The price/quality ratio is on point. I have been to places where they charge twice as much for beyond mediocre food. Dorcea does it right and I will be back

Food quality and selection is great. Service starts strong and finishes poorly - they run the model of wait staff gets you to appetizers, then food runners bring mains out and don't communicate with you as they are brought out close to each other in time but not at the same time... This leaves you wondering where your sides are that didn't make it out during the parade of plate drop offs. Didn't see our waitress again until 75% done with mains. Had to walk up to get help and side dish.

9/15/23 Dinner. Delicious dinner that is affordable when you share! We started with the hummus appetizer that was flavorful. Then, on to the main course, which was one of the specials - new york strip steak that was worth every penny! Grilled perfectly for our tastes. Finally, we ordered dessert - we chose the limoncello cake. Not too sweet, with a distinctive lemon flavor and light in texture and mouth feel. And the coffee was delicious. A brand I've never heard of, but one that I would buy if sold in stores.

The dinner was excellent, given that we left full and satisfied. An affordable dinner that far exceeded dinners at other restaurants at a similar price point.

First time visiting and it was a pretty nice experience. Went during the week in the evening. The parking lot near by is free parking for the restaurant 5p-11p (not sure if that counts for weekends). Host was welcoming and friendly. He asked if I had a preference in seating, which I didn’t, and ended up giving me the best seat in the house (probably) lol Food was fresh and hot, flavorful. Definitely want to go again to try something new.

I can't speak enough praise about Dorcea. I went on a Saturday night; it was easy to grab a reservation earlier the same day. We were sat near the front window bay, with the twinkly lights. The vibe up there was fantastic; it might be a bit different in other parts of the restaurant. The service was superb and the food was unbelievably good. I will be going back to try probably everything on the menu.
